traditional gathering and harvesting kai

maori foods were very simple eating stuff like fish vegtables and meat  the kumara which is one of the more popular foods was thought to be a subspecies  of potato's it   but unlike potato's there were
over 500 different  types of kumara here is a picture of some

another thing they loved to eat was fish mostly flounder which they caught with spears  and cray fish they caught with nets but they usually ate them raw but still would have been healthy heres a picture of a flounder

We are learning to use simple sentences


‘Anei’ (Here is),
‘Kei hea’ (Where is/are),
‘taku’ (my – singular)
