The tyrannosaurus rex is definitely one of the most iconic and well recognized dinosaur's in history
(also tyrannosaurus rex means tyrant lizard king in latin) the tyrannosaurus rex a.k.a.the t rex certainly is iconic
but when you think of a t rex in your head you probably imagine a forty foot upstanding lizard with brown skin
but it's been speculated that there were around fifty variations of it caused from them all going to different climates
places eating different food doing different things the average t rex lived in north america but one of the variations was
the tarbosaurus which came from asia and was a little bit smaller

Self Reflection:
medal: it was very descriptive
medal: it was pretty long
back pack: being more to the point

The appearance of it was terrifying. Fear slowly covered me, but still I had an urge to do it hearing countless screams as my turn was coming fourth every time. I heard that belt unclicking and people screaming it would send shivers down my spine and scare me just that little bit more but still wanted to do it just so I could say I've done it. The rope always seemed to get tighter with every run, it was finally my turn the supervisor buckle me up into the giant swing as it lifted me up into the air it started to get harder to breathe. I was going to tell them to let me down but I just didn’t, finally it stopped pulling me up the instructor yelled “Are you okay?”

“I’m okay” I yelled back. The belt unclicked and it dropped down a little bit which made myself twitch before I knew it I was flying through the air it was awesome after it stopped the instructor asked if i wanted to have another go? And I did it was even better than the first time. But after that I had to hop off but at least I got to do it and also it helped with my fear of heights.

Student Reflection:
In my writing one of my goals is to support main ideas
I did show this goal in my writing because I had good detail.

In my writing one of my goals is to check for spelling and punctuation mistakes.
I did not show this goal in my writing because I tried to remember some punctuation rules but I didn't always do it.

My next step is to use capital letters and punctuation correctly.

Teacher Comment:
Edge, I like the way you've used quotation marks correctly in this piece of writing. You have recounted your experience and I can imagine how you were feeling! Watch out for repeating words. Part of the editing process means checking for this and seeing where you can change certain words, phrases or sentences to create impact.

Dear Mr Hipkins,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and state of mind you’ve done multiple amazing things over the years so why not add a few more to that grand list to make it bigger by donating some money to our school. We understand if you hesitate or don’t or can’t we perfectly accept something or nothing .what i'm saying is we can’t reach our full potential in this dastardly weather and here is why reason#1 the students in our classes start moping around the classroom and just lie around the place when their hot. reason#2 They become agitated and talk back to the teachers or the don’t listen to the teachers so as you can hear we would be very happy to receive donation for a cooling system.

Yours sincerely,

Edge Levi Dickson.
